In our profound national research, we asked people what is their attitude towards essential things like food as well.
We wanted to understand whether they prefer to eat at home, or on restaurants or they just order food home and how this behavior is changing with age.
Millennials’ attitude towards food

Question: Please mark all the statements that are true and related to you when it comes to food.
Audience: Millennials, women & men born between 1977 and 1995
Gen Zet’s attitude towards food

Question: Please mark all the statements that are true and related to you when it comes to food.
Audience: Gen Z, women & men born after 1995
Not surprisingly we can mark both generations as gourmet lovers because they both confess that they value good food as leading attitude towards it. One more similar thing between them (42-3%) agree that they prefer healthy food.
Every second Z orders food for home, unlike Millennials who are less likely to do it (42%). It is more distinctive for Z to order food for home compared to Millennials. Millennials have already increased the pleasure they feel when cooking (Zets – 40%, Millennials – every second Millennial). Unlike Zets (4%), however, Millennials go at least once a week to a restaurant (18,95%) and 16% confess that they like spending a lot of money there. This correspondents with the higher income they are supposed to get in a more mature age.
The young Z also are very impatient and almost half of them can’t wait for the dessert. With the years Millennials have learned their patience lesson and only ⅓ of them can’t wait for the dessert.
10% of Z confess that they don’t eat meat and this is very distinctive for them compared to the other audiences. Probably because they want to be a part of a community with a common characteristic or they are still looking for themselves trying a different way of life to find theirs. Only 5% of the Millennials don’t eat meat. We can assume that the vegetarian or vegan culture is not well developed and at some point of their life people switch back to meat because they feel the lack of it – either the vitamins and nutrition or just the taste of it.
With age growing up we see that people tend to like more different ethnic style cuisine. They need diversity and different and exotic food is a way of achieving it.
